Hi, Karen.  I'm new to Gather.  I am also a survivor of child sexual abuse.  I was in a therapy group for the first time recently and the only thing we had in common was the abuse in our history.  It was amazing how similar our feelings and experiences were.  It helps so much to talk about it with someone who has gone through it.  I, too am looking for others who would like to share their stories.  I have only been talking about this for three years, but it has affected every single aspect of my life.  I am currently going through a divorce, and my marriage is just one more thing that suffered as a result of being abused.  But thanks to some great therapists, I have some knowledge a some tools so that the rest of my life will be better that the first part.  I just dedicate my life to being vigilant for my own children and for other children as well.  If I can prevent this from happening in my own family, or from happening to another child, then I know that my purpose in life has been served.  NO child should have their life changed by such a heinous act.

I would like to hear from anyone else wants to share.  I am especially wanting to discuss the topic of denial and family relationships after disclosure.
